Two Musical Acts to Rock Blacksburg Fork and Cork!

Blacksburg, Virginia, March 15, 2017 Get ready for a great day of wine tasting and toe-tapping music at this year’s Blacksburg Fork & Cork, a food, wine, and art festival taking place Saturday, April 29, 1pm-6pm at 1600 Innovation Drive in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.

On stage from noon-2:30pm is The Seismix. Unrestricted by genre, The Seismix’s infectious sound captures a unique blend of rock, jazz, funk, reggae and latin music, driven by powerful vocals. Hailing from southwest VA, this 5-piece band has been pushing boundaries with their eclectic mix since 2012, when Gary Lindberg (bass, vocals) and John Rardin (guitar) collaborated on writing and playing music, discovering that their fresh, energetic styles made for some great fusion. Frank Hatfield (guitar) joined the duo in 2013, bringing another layer to the writing, as well as dimension and form with his soaring, masterful leads. With Susan Tedeschi and Billie Holiday among her influences, Stephanie Bryson (vocals, keys) delivers passion with her soulful, magnetic vocals. Drummer Chris Niekirk’s intuitive playing allows for exploration, while his vocal harmonies round out The Seismix’s charismatic sound.

Playing from 3pm-6pm is Stone Canyon. Made up of five music veterans, Stone Canyon plays the music we all love, spanning from the 1960’s right up to today’s hits. Pop, Rock, R & B, Country Rock & Country Music. There is something for everyone to enjoy at a Stone Canyon Show!

In addition to the outstanding entertainment and musical line up, Blacksburg Fork & Cork will include a day-long schedule of wine tasting, art viewing, cooking demonstrations and much more. Tickets can be purchased at or at both Blacksburg Kroger locations. Advance purchases are recommended as day of event tickets will sell out quickly.
