In 2011, Blacksburg Fork and Cork debuted Can Do!, a canned food sculpture competition and food drive benefiting local food pantries and hunger relief programs. We’re happy to bring back this exciting fundraiser for the second year in a row!
What is Can Do?
Teams of co-workers, club and church members, friends, and families will collect canned goods used to create unique sculptures. The sky is the limit when it comes to what you can create with cans! Sculptures will be judged in a variety of categories including People’s Choice, Best Use of Labels, Most Cans Collected, and more.
How can I participate?
While the deadline to submit a team has passed, you can still contribute to the cause by bringing canned food, juice boxes, or other non-perishable food items to the festival. By making a donation, you will receive the right to vote for your favorite sculpture at the festival!
